PLS 221: Supporting Student and Teacher Wellness
Using Social Emotional Learning To Develop a Healthy Classroom
In this course, the Six Dimensions of Wellness (Hettler 1976) are explored as to how they relate to the classroom. Teachers will be provided with tools and practices that help support student and teacher wellness. This is the foundation to create a safe and welcoming learning environment for the whole classroom community and support both students and teachers to gain the skills to manage their own behaviors. This session can be taken independently or as part of the Social Emotional Learning Series.
