PLS 318: Inquiry-Based Teaching and Mentoring for Meeting TPA/RICA
This course supports Teacher Induction Mentees and Mentors who work together to understand how to meet Induction requirements while also completing credentialing needs per Executive Order N-66-20 (passage of the TPA and RICA suspended as prerequisite to entering Induction) and SB820 which extended this Order. Participants typically are enrolled in an asynchronous Canvas course that provides the required recordings and materials for a synchronous session that is facilitated by program staff. Mentors enrolled in this course and attending the synchronous session will have met the Mentor Academy 301 requirement as that content is blended into this professional learning. Mentor Practice Framework, Domains 1-2.
This session is broken into two parts: RICA 4:00-5:30 and TPA: 5:30-7:00. You may attend either one as needed by your credential requirement or attend both if you are required to complete RICA & TPA.
