MAC302 Mentor Academy: The Art of Observation and Providing Targeted Feedback 1/23/20 (Ft. Bragg)
Mentors facilitate new teacher growth, development and effectiveness through a commitment to their own professional growth, through modeling this commitment, as well as through guided reflection on practice and feedback on classroom instruction. This collaborative Academy explores strategies for building trust in a mentor relationship and dives into the Pre-Conference, Conference, and Post-Conference process of observations with information, practice, role-play, and discussion. This offering is appropriate for teacher leaders/mentors working with or who are interested in working with participants in the North Coast Teacher Induction Program, the Intern Support & Supervision Program, or the Permit Holders Program and satisfies the requirement of attending at least 3 Mentor Academies a year.
