California Classified School Employees Teacher Credentialing Grant

Sonoma County Office of Education was awarded the California Classified School Employees to Teacher Credentialing Program Grant on behalf of interested districts within the regional consortium and North Coast School of Education Satellite Networks. The program consortium is comprised of forty-five (45) consortium partners: the Sonoma County Office of Education (SCOE), all Sonoma County districts, Ukiah Unified School District, and six (6) institutes of higher education. Due to new available slots, the Sonoma County Office of Education is announcing the re-opening of the California Classified School Employees to Teacher Credentialing Program Grant application.
The Commission on Teacher Credentialing grant funding is available to provide financial assistance for the life of the grant to classified staff to become multiple subject, single subject, or education specialist credentialed teachers. Grant funds are provided as a reimbursement to recipients, up to $4,300/year.
Grant award money can be used for: *
- Undergrad/credential program tuition
- Program fees
- Textbooks
- Testing fees (CBEST, CSET, etc.)
* Receipts required for reimbursement

Eligibility
Any classified employee in a school, district or county office who meets the following criteria is eligible to apply for the grant:
- Be employed in Sonoma County or the Ukiah Unified School District
- Must have been employed in a classified position
- Holds an AA degree or has completed 60 units of college coursework (transcripts required)
