FFT 114 Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment - Lake County Satellite
Pre Interns are introduced to the process of curricular assessing, planning, teaching, reflecting, applying (APTRA) and analyzing student work to guide instruction for both short-term and long-term instructional goals. Students learn and practice developing the elements of effective planning techniques for both short-term and long-range goals and objectives. Pre Interns focus on lesson planning and design (learning objectives, anticipatory set, instruction, progress monitoring, assessment, and closure) utilizing California Frameworks, California Academic Content Standards (Common Core, Next Generation Science Standards) and the standards for career readiness. Interns gain an understanding of how to monitor student progress and become familiar with a variety of assessment tools (both formative and summative) for monitoring progress. IEP’s, IFSP’s, 504’s and SST’s will be discussed, and how assessments are so critical to those functions.
