FFT 116 Teaching English Learners (Online Class) - Lake County Satellite
English Learner Knowledge & Skills: Pre Interns become familiar with the challenges they will encounter when working with English learners and effective strategies to use with English learner students in 21st-century classrooms. Students are introduced and initially prepared to teach English learners by increasing Interns’ knowledge and understanding of second language acquisition, background experiences, home languages, skills and abilities of English learner student populations; and by teaching them to apply appropriate pedagogical practices informed by sound theory and current research that provide access to the core curriculum and lead to high achievement for all students.
